As Senior Android Developer you will work on high traffic apps at one of the biggest media companies of The Netherlands. You will work on the development of the Android apps of De Telegraaf, one of the biggest newspapers in our country.
The technical stack consists of Kotlin and part Java. Components of Android’s Jetpack, like Data Binding, ViewModels, Paging and LiveData are used for the Android apps. The backend is based on GraphQL and communications runs through Apollo Android.

You will be part of the department Digital Innovation & Development, in short ‘DI&D’. The department supports TMG in achieving and maintaining the position of Digital Publishing Leader of The Netherlands. The focus lies on determining the new digital strategy of TMG, with the goal of getting a large base of active users and achieving the highest engagement in The Netherlands. In this technical environment there is space to develop knowledge about new technologies, but also for teambuilding and humour.
Within DI&D the App Development Team is responsible for the development of the apps. The team consists of a Tech Lead, two Android Developers, two iOS Developers, a Scrum Master, a QA Engineer and a Product Owner. We work in an Agile environment and have an open and informal culture.
